Trading process

From enquiry to title transfer.

Physical fuel trading rewards structure. Every MINTWURKS transaction follows the same six stages, aligned to standard Rotterdam, Houston and Fujairah procedures. At each stage you know what happens next and which documents change hands.

01

Enquiry & Soft Corporate Offer

You outline the product, grade, volume per lift, contract length, delivery term and destination port. Within 24 hours on business days the trading desk replies with a Soft Corporate Offer setting out the price basis, procedure and documents required.

SCO
You provide
Product, volume, delivery term, destination and target pricing. A company profile helps us qualify the enquiry quickly.
We provide
Soft Corporate Offer (SCO) with the transaction procedure and indicative commercial terms.
02

ICPO, KYC & compliance screening

To proceed, the buyer issues an Irrevocable Corporate Purchase Order on company letterhead with the Company Information Sheet and signatory identification. We screen every counterparty against sanctions and anti-money-laundering requirements before any offer is firmed up.

ICPOCISKYCAML
You provide
ICPO, Company Information Sheet (CIS), passport copy of the signatory and bank details for verification.
We provide
Written acknowledgement and the outcome of compliance screening, normally within two business days.
03

Full Corporate Offer & contract

With compliance cleared, MINTWURKS issues a Full Corporate Offer that locks price, volume, laycan and delivery terms. The sale and purchase agreement follows, and both parties sign and seal.

FCOSPACI
We provide
Full Corporate Offer (FCO) and the draft Sale and Purchase Agreement or Commercial Invoice.
Executed
Contract signed and sealed by both parties; each side’s bank is notified of the agreed instrument.
04

Financial instrument

The buyer’s bank issues the agreed payment instrument to the seller’s bank. The instrument is confirmed bank to bank before any product is committed, protecting both sides.

MT700MT760LCSBLC
You provide
The agreed instrument from a top-tier bank, typically a documentary letter of credit (MT700) or standby letter of credit (MT760).
We provide
Bank-to-bank confirmation and, where agreed in the contract, the corresponding performance guarantee.
05

Proof of Product

We compile the Proof of Product dossier so the buyer has transparent, verifiable visibility of the cargo before funds move. The buyer or its nominated inspector may conduct a dip test at the tank.

POPTSRDTACOO
We provide
Tank Storage Receipt, injection report, most recent Q&Q report, Dip Test Authorisation, Certificate of Origin and product passport.
You may
Appoint SGS or your own surveyor to witness the dip test and sample the product.
06

Inspection, title transfer & lift

A final independent SGS Quality and Quantity inspection is conducted at the load port or tank. On satisfactory results, title transfers to the buyer, payment is released against the documents, and logistics handover follows. Rolling contracts continue on the agreed schedule.

SGS Q&QCOAB/LMT103
Executed
SGS Q&Q report, title transfer documents and payment release (MT103) against documents.
You receive
Certificate of Analysis, Certificate of Origin, bill of lading or tank transfer certificate, insurance certificate for CIF terms and a named desk contact.

Documents at a glance.
